Meet the ESSC Team
Commodore
Helen is to be seen at the club most sailing days with an eager family in tow either, on / in the water or at the bar eating the family’s favourite "Carrot Cake". Helen has come from not really wanting to sail or get involved to having a passion for the sailing life and feels that as a club we have so much to offer both serious racers but more importantly the service families that just want to have fun and unwind. |
Vice Commodore
Doug works at Epi in the support unit. Usually volunteered to crew for the previous President in a RS Vision, he has a breathing space to get on the "back end" while the new President gets up to speed. Priority as "Head of House" is a somewhat leaky Bosun's building now that he has fixed the outdoor shower - though this may need a little hotter weather to become usable. |
Rear Commodore
Club Secretary
Treasurer
Keith works at the Headquarters and is Responsible for ensuring the Club remains financially healthy, he is nonetheless keen to find the most cost-effective way to maintain both the on-water and off-water facilities and equipment in as good a condition as finances allow. A keen sailor, he is most usually found now in the Mole attched to the back of the Club Optimist (although now probably the bright pink one) with one or more of his or other Club member's children in it. |
