RYA Sailing Courses to both Level 2 and level 3 (Seamanship) are available at ESSC. You might start in a single hander, the Laser PICO or in one of the two double handers, the RS Vision or the Laser 2000, with and Instructor and learn the basics of sailing, how to rig the boats, weather, knots and general handling qualities, and above all wind awareness. ALL taught by experienced and dedicated Instructors with fully attendant Safety Boats manned by qualified crews.
RYA Power Boat Courses to Level 2 and for the more experienced Level 3 Safety Boat Coxswains courses.
The Level 2 will teach you how to handle a RHIB (Rigid Hulled Inflatable Boat) at both planning speed and slow handling covering the weather, knots, hull and engine types and Man Overboard Techniques.
Level 3 for more experienced Power Boaters covers rescue and safety duties and requires some experience and the passing of an assessment before the course starts.
